A news package is a visual form of news that conveys a set of information to a broad audience. It is often a short package ranging from 2:00 minutes to 2:30 seconds. News packages include a reporter and interviewee and background footage which helps push the story along for the audience. Students in both Broadcasting 1 and Broadcasting 2 spend all year practicing and creating news packages to feature on the daily show, Raider Student Network or RSN.
