A public service announcement is created to convey an important message or teach a lesson to a broad audience and is often used to bring awareness to a social issue or a specific topic. The most common PSAs raise awareness in regard to public health and safety. The first PSAs were created after WW II. Students in both Broadcasting 1 and Broadcasting 2 created PSAs throughout the year shedding light on topics that were important to them.
