Students produce the yearbook on the Walsworth Online Design site. Students interview sources, write and edit stories and captions, design layouts, and catalog thousands of photos for the Middle School yearbook. Aside from producing the yearbook, students work on The Raider Flash Magazine, acclimating to the industry-standard publication software and exploring their interests.

As part of this course, students will engage in various multimedia activities in journalism and mass media by producing content for the school’s online news site, The Raider Flash. Skills include news-gathering, reporting, news, feature, sports, and opinion writing, copy-editing, and photography. Students are also expected to produce social video news packages and podcasts housed on the news site and @theraiderflash Instagram account.
