Producing the Yearbook......   Journalism students begin working on the yearbook after the theme is chosen.  The content of the yearbook is established and their page-by-page outline, the ladder, is established.  Students are assigned their pages, called spreads, and begin reporting, photographing, and designing layouts.  Additionally, they begin to cover their beat, write their stories, captions, headlines, subheadlines, and finally, proofread their spreads. The yearbook is primarily produced during the second and third quarters and documents the school year.  The production comes full circle by the first weeks of the fourth quarter when all spreads are submitted to the publisher to be printed.
